@anaulin I like the warmup, but OTOH I got the book because I thought it might be easier to get through than Brin’s blog.

His writing style can be a little dense. Good stuff, but lots of brain work for me. So - we’ll see?

@angdraug @tindall@cybre.space @adasauce well, sorta. Rubygems happened because of folks like me wondering where CPAN for Ruby was.

Pip happened because the setuptools devs burned out on thankless tedium.

Besides, Redhat & Debian proved to language devs that nonfunctional package management is not exclusive to proprietary platforms.
