Folks don’t need #ADHD medication access to be any harder to get at than it already is. I gave up on Adderall about a month ago. Not because of side effects or efficacy. Not because I found a miracle fix. I did not.
Between regulations and insurer’s handling of those regs, it simply takes more executive function to maintain a prescription than I get from the meds.

We have been looking real hard at places back in Seattle. Exurbs are not my happy place. Fine, yeah there’s noise, feces-dodging, tent avoidance, wet rat contests, whatever. At least I can go across the street and get some coffee.

I was thinking hard about adding a second part about how much we’ve enabled with open source — and Linux as the leading wedge of that — but then I started thinking about corporate surveillance, growing wage inequality, nation-state Linux distributions, big-name projects that are practically just throwing builds over a fence with little public input while authors of core functionality we all use can’t pay rent, the rephrasing and resurgence of process patents, and anyways I got depressed.
