Delivered a yacht to Porto-Vecchio. More fun than “empty pallets.”

Well how about that. ox-hugo works well enough with Eleventy. My Emacs config exported just fine.

Needed to tweak the syntax highlighting on the other end because shiki doesn’t know “elisp” but still. Not too bad.

@controlfreak I usually have my own music player going. What I like about ETS is the different architecture.

Told someone today that I like documentation automatically generated from docstrings because it’s all still lies but at least the lies are closer to the code.

The COVID ripple effect is noticeably reaching us us with the good insurance. Booster shot appointment? Two months. Urgent doctor appointment? Next month maybe.

Been poking at Node.js all day and it’s nice but really missing my utility combo of sqlite-utils + rich + (pathlib | pyfilesystem)

Back on the Linux partition for the heck of it, and freshly installed Vivaldi (since I lost it going from Pop to Manjaro)

Got basic section feeds in via eleventy-plugin-rss. This is the closest I’ve come to a full port of the site since Statamic earlier this year.

Might it actually become the new site? I HAVE NO IDEA THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME ok maybe it’s not killing me

Using Typescript via ts-node for a utility script. Wouldn’t say that makes things easier, but it’s making it easier to figure out where I screwed up.

OW MY BRAIN

but hey I got eleventy-img resizing and nunjucks macros w/o pushing extra args everywhere

by splitting out a separate image manip phase, save metadata, and grab site image metadata on load for the image shortcode so that’s cool

You wanna know how deep some Perl stuff gets ingrained? In my second brain tools, private nodes are under the “my” namespace and stuff I might want to share is under “our”.

Realized what I was doing, thought about using “state” for the journal nodes, but that seemed a step too far.

Adding frivolities like markdown-it-containers and shiki takes my Eleventy experiment’s build time from 4s to 16s but other JS-based SSGs I tried hit a 90s average time. Never even made it to frivolities.

Course, images are coming up and even Hugo gives me a ಠ_ಠ over those.

We watched Matrix Resurrections. Not as bad as I was prepared for, not as good as I hoped for. Enjoyed most of the backreferences and new characters, missed my favorite old scene-stealers.

It felt like a Matrix sequel which is what it was so job well done everyone.
