New #KuzuDB release! Key items of interest for me: list lambdas for tighter description of operations on lists, you can write user-defined functions — stored procedures basically — in Python, and there’s better support for Polars, SQLite, and JSON as data sources.
@maddiefuzz Oh heck been a while! Is that the one with the song that has “you’re not invisible inside your car”?
I think about that line a lot.

@maddiefuzz The albums kind of blur together for me. I was mixing that track up with “A Life of Arctic Sounds” which is also not on This is a Long Drive…
@uncanny_kate I’ve softened on nostalgia recently mostly for folks who want to enjoy memories of when they were healthier, and what they enjoyed at the time.

@WuMargaret it’s like a more benign version of “caustic,” which I’ve also used as a mood modifying description.

@WuMargaret there are evaluations specifically for masked autism now, which was how I got my own assessment.
Testing has improved, but it’s not great. Less likely to describe general autistic traits, more likely to describe a narrow window of trauma-based reactions and coping strategies.
@maddiefuzz@antijingoist I would accept my new role as Earworm Fairy with dedication and malicious enthusiasm.
🎶 hold on to that feeling yeah eee yeah

I find coding assistants genuinely helpful almost half the time, assuming they correctly process the context of language and active code base. It’s helpful like an old school code generation wizard masquerading as autocomplete, but — even when wrong — it can help start or move the thinking process.
