“Move fast and break things” was one of the worst core principles and we should have nipped that one in the bud.

@b0rk I’m not sure that knowing how to implement a specific algorithm is useful, but not having that CS foundation, and not knowing the name and shape of algorithms, has been a communication blocker many times over my career.

Talking with @IamMrsGeek about whether ageism might be a factor in my new career as “person who tries to get a job.” We ponder various options such as shaving the beard which got a “probably” and dyeing out the grey which got a visceral “fuck no” from me.

@webology I will try uv out of course, because such is my nature. But I’m starting to feel Python tooling fatigue, which is not unlike JavaScript framework fatigue.

Astro has a hosted database now, and — I wish’em the best but my common sense is tingling, and won’t let me continue puttering with Astro unless a paycheck’s involved. I’ve seen the hosted add-on service downward spiral too many times.

Other than the part where it put me in Wayland by default, KDE Plasma 6 looks good so far.
